Dear Liz and family. Today I watch this beautiful take me home Country Road ceremony you’ve all gone and put on for the beloved Mamma, nanna and great nanna. Im so proud to see all you lot their in honor 🎖 of an amazing single mamma who did what she had to give, she gave it raw and with hard love. My childhood memories of Aunty Liz, mums best friend, those kitchen cuppas whilst us kids were out side running a muck, were some of the best times in my life, when Pete wasn’t chasing me to marry me, lolz, the times you lived with us, the times in Oberon watching the rodeo from your home yard fence, to us all growing up and apart, to seeing my childhood memories right here with Liz and Leslie Towers my mum. The ceremony was truely emotional, solid rock red headed, hard living Aunty Liz, your smile always shone through the light inside you, towards others, your welcoming smile. 🙏 You sung the glorious tunes that healed your heart as your kids, and kids, kids did too. To the gypsie women, your on your way home in your dodge van, the biggest journey of all. I hope to see your smiley teeth and eyes at the pearly gates when I arrive in my good time, and I know my mum would have been their to welcome you home. To all the family as the matriarch has gone home, the Eldest sons and daughters take their part, in leadership and the younger are guided as well by ancestral love, stay in touch. All of you. Life’s short. Dont waste time being opposite. Today I’ll take up beer in your mums name and singing, because there’s nothing wrong about that. Let down my hair and bit cause life ain’t that serious, and forgive more. I saw a bit of me at your mums fairwell, the single motherhood act, oh yeah I know it all too well. Im so glad that was strongly acknowledged, because if you can pull that off, you can pull anything off, yes with fists and all. Love ya guts Liz. Ceane Towers.
Beautifully said Ceane,
I could definitely see our mums up there catching up on all the good old times over multiple cuppas. I remember those days too just when you guys were a bit older and it was us younger ones. So many memories spent at your house, they were the good old days.
