BLACK, Jemima Mae Elyse

Jemima Mae Elyse Black

7/2/2005 – 4/1/2025

Eternally a teenager

Jemima Black, cherished daughter of Fiona, died suddenly in her sleep at the age of nineteen.

Jemima was a true artist, her mind and hands full of pure creativity. Her journals overflowed with her ideas and experiences, her animal and human character designs, and funny comments and observations. She adored transforming herself into different characters with make up and painting the fingernails of her cousins, Mac and Fox.

Jemima enjoyed bubble tea and ramen, and collecting recipes to cook delicious food. She had a great time op-shopping with her mum and Aunty Emily – searching for the softest, most comfortable clothes and always on the look out for stuffed toys to add to her ever growing collection. She took great pleasure in watching documentaries (collecting random facts) and Anime (crushing on her favourite characters).

Jemima deeply loved animals and made friends with all the frogs her whole life. There was an extra special place in her heart for her best dog friend Tiger.

Jemima was happiest in nature. She treasured memories of our yearly camping trips to Hervey Bay, with her Mama, Parpy and cousins. On their first date, Jemima and her boyfriend Blair searched for four leaf clovers and went birdwatching.

Jemima went to sleep, on the night of 3rd January, in love and happy.

We miss her and will love her with all our hearts always.

Instead of flowers or a funeral, Jemima would have loved that we donate to Capricorn Animal Aid.
