I have fond memories of meeting Karu at the start of the 1st year E fac and developing a strong friendship. A group of us including Udawatte, MAGA, Dica and others had spent many hours in Karu’s Akbar Nell room. Karu was a very kind person, helped others with no hesitation and was truly a remarkable guy to be around with. He didn’t worry about many things and always had a big smile . I am truly sad that I did not get a chance to see him for many years and have to live with the guilt of not taking the time to visit. I hope to be his friend forever. He will be in my thoughts always.
