We first met Pippa at Botany District Band many many years ago when our dad, Joseph, was learning the tuba (because that is what the band needed!!) and we played on saxaphones and Pippa was on flute.
After band practice we usually adjourned to Zia Pino’s for pizza and there we shared Pippa’s joy when Peter was born and enjoyed watching Peter grow into the outstanding man he is today, guided by Pippa’s strong values and faith.
As the years progressed Pippa and Joe developed a great friendship which ultimately led to them falling in love, marrying and spending the rest of their lives in happiness and creating a wonderful new life with love and faith at the centre.
Family, music, nature, caravan adventures fostering needy babies and church were all immensely important to them and we would have loved them to have had more time together.
We were brought to tears when Peter and Sammy named their first-born son, Joseph, a beautiful reminder of Pippa’s and Peters love for Joe. Pippa adored her grandson and would do anything for him. It was a testament to Pippa’s love of family, of Joe and of Peter.
Pippa was strong – there when we needed her, supporting us and our own children (for Matthew, for Scott, for Michael and for Duncan), through their health and life challenges even when she faced her own health issues. Pippa was truly a grandmother and we are forever grateful to Pippa for all the support and advice she gave us both.
Pippa and Joe are now together again in peace. We believe she will be smiling and happy to be with the love of her life.
We will miss you, miss your smile, miss your friendship, miss your love and miss your computer skills.
Rest in Peace.
Love always
Lyn & Chris
Even though we had a distance of thousands of miles, I considered Pippa a good friend!
She was such a nice and good person and we shared a lot of interests together: animals, nature, family and her happiness about moving to the senior place – where I had just moved into.
We understood each other. We got each other!
Pippa was such a wonderful, kind, and generous hearted person!
