  1. Thinking of you all at this very sad time. Uncle Bev was a good friend to my parents Ray and Daph Crocker. We were hockey babies. He was a great character and I will always remember him and your Mum coming to visit us especially after Dad passed too soon in the 70’s. Your Dad would buy us the biggest ice cream sundae despite Mum’s insistence that a cone would do. They came to my wedding and he kept in touch all those years even after Mum passed in 2024. His visits in her last years were very special. RIP Bev – I hope there’s a giant ice cream sundae waiting for you. xxxx

  2. I have known Bev since he visited my older brother Ray when I was a girl. We could hear him coming his whistle was so loud. I have a lifetime of wonderful memories of Bev and Verena and am finding it hard to express how I feel now that he is gone. Thinking of you all, Love Dawn and family.

  3. Our sincere condolences to all the Swaffield family & friends. Seeing all the past and recent photos just reiterated what a great bloke our “Papa Bear” was. We will certainly miss him being just across the road & all the chats we enjoyed with him. He was a father figure to me and how lucky were we all to have him in our lives!
    RIP Papa Bear! xo
